Under the supervision of the Surjit Hockey Society, Jalandhar, the Surjit Hockey Academy, at Surjit Hockey Stadium, Jalandhar has embraced Bhangra—Punjab’s vibrant folk dance—as a fun and effective fitness regimen. Every Wednesday, layers engage in high- energy Bhangra sessions that combine tradition with physical training.

Bhangra is not just a cultural celebration—it’s also a powerful full-body workout. When performed correctly, it can help burn 500-800 calories per session while strengthening key muscle groups, including the arms, biceps, forearms, shoulders, thighs, and calves. Our 40–45-minute sessions are a complete body workout. Unlike repetitive gym routines, Bhangra keeps you energized and entertained. During the pandemic, its popularity soared, with back-to-back virtual sessions. The best part, no prior dance experience is needed— just move to the rhythm!
